What a Trip

Rafting Rogue River Southern Oregon Row Adventures August, 2016

"Nothing says family vacation like a rafting trip on the river. My husband and I met at the University of Oregon and sealed our relationship when we purchased a tent together. That was thirty years ago. While we still camp under the stars, this trip was a four day, Lodge to Lodge rafting trip on the Rogue River with Row Adventures. An adventure travel company since 1979, Row river guides know the wild and scenic Rogue River, as well as Huck Finn, claimed to know the Mississippi River. Below is a brief overview of our four-day rafting trip."

Cuba Tours Hike, Bike, and Kayak to Actively Connect with Culture

Spokesman Review August, 2016

"ROW Adventures, based in Coeur d’Alene, has led active adventure travel trips from the Spokane River to the Galapagos Islands and Africa for 37 years. But owner Peter Grubb said he’s amazed with the company’s newest frontier. 'Cuba offers a cultural experience that blends well with an active vacation,' Grubb said. Four years ago, his company started exploring the potential for walking trips through the island nation’s national parks and sea kayaking trips on its Caribbean coasts. 'The Cuban people really want us there, and that’s a good start to any trip.'"

Why Traveling to Cuba is Better with a Tour

Cuba Journal July, 2016

"If your goal is to avoid all-inclusive resorts and engage in something more akin to "travel" than to "tourism," then you should consider the offerings by the multitude of US tour companies that operate in Cuba... these companies typically handle flights, compliance with US travel restriction to Cuba, visas, transportation and programs that get you inserted into the culture and environment that would be difficult to do by yourself... Idaho-based tour operator ROW Adventures, one of the first companies authorized to offer kayak tours in Cuba, operated 18 kayaking trips last season..."

River Dance Lodge Offers Luxury on the Clearwater

Spokesman Review July, 2016

"If cabins or "glamping" in a wall tent with a hot tub are on your radar for adventure, ROW Adventures has the answer in Idaho, just a few hours' drive from Spokane. River-based trips in the wild areas such as Idaho's River of No Return Wilderness and Oregon's Owyhee region continue to be the core of the Coeur d'Alene-based company that books active trips around the globe. But in 2005, the company founded River Dance Lodge on U.S. Highway 12 at Syringa near the confluence of the Lochsa and Selway Rivers..."

Not Your Typical Detox Retreat: 9 Trips that Make You Unplug

Mashable July, 2016

"ROW Adventures capitalizes on getaways that present an extreme break from the digital world. Of their trips, the British Columbia and American Northwest tours get you completely unplugged. Travelers to British Columbia immerse in the quiet calm of remote lodges and occupy their hands and bodies with sea-kayaking expeditions. Travelers to the American Northwest raft through rivers and deep valleys in Idaho and Oregon. Founder Peter Grubb finds these trips increasingly important for families: 'Getting to a place where being connected isn't an option allows us to reset our own priority button. It's a time to reconnect with family and disconnect from the false urgency of our everyday world.'"

Cuba Journal July, 2016

"Unless you have a large yacht on which to explore, the next best way to see Cuba by water is by kayak. Idaho-based tour operator, ROW Adventures, one of the first companies authorized to offer kayak tours in Cuba, operated 18 kayaking trips last season. In fact, ROW has launched Cuba Unbound as a separate brand specializing in active Cuba tours including hiking, bicycling, and more."
