Rogue Luxury – My Lodge to Lodge Rogue River Rafting Trip Experience
Quiltripping November, 2019"Luxury comes in many forms. There is the obvious five star hotel with concierge service and private infinity pool type of luxury. But for me, a more important form of luxury is the ability to easily experience the solitude of pristine, unspoiled wilderness for three days. A lodge to lodge Rogue River rafting trip gave me that experience with the added comfort of sleeping in a bed and hot showers at the end of each day, along with good home cooked meals and fine local Oregon wines. Now that is luxury indeed." - Rosemarie Palmer-Sungail
Coeur d’Alene-based company continues to take travelers to Cuba despite Trump’s newest ‘crackdown’
Spokesman Review April, 2019"PLAYA LARGA, CUBA – The 2020 U.S. presidential elections seem impossibly remote as nine Americans weave their kayaks through a thick red mangrove forest on Cuba’s southern coast.
They navigate the tight pathways made by these saline-loving trees, admiring long-legged flamingos and pelicans, alongside the nearly 300 other bird species found in this area.
The Americans are here with ROW Adventures, a Coeur d’ Alene-based outdoor adventure company, on a seven-day kayaking trip. It’s a trip that weaves culture, music, art, history, politics and, yes, kayaking into one itinerary." - Spokesman Review
Experience Family Magic Rafting on the Salmon River
Visit Idaho February, 2019"The Lower Salmon Canyon stretch of the Salmon River is the ideal setting for a family trip. There are plenty of calm stretches to jump in and at 64 degrees Fahrenheit, the water is cool enough for a leisurely swim, but not enough to take your breath away. The giant white sand beaches we camped at were just as beautiful and exotic as a white sand beach in Mexico. And, no bugs! The guides set up tents for us, but we didn’t use them once; the girls and I slept outside under the stars every night. Lying there with my daughters staring up at a giant sky of stars, pointing out satellites and shooting stars was a high point of my trip. It still brings warmth to my heart looking back to those sweet quiet moments we had gazing at the sky and falling asleep together." - Chad Case

Wilderness Dream on Idaho's Middle Fork Salmon
Wine Dine & Travel August, 2018"The Middle Fork of the Salmon, of of the nation's top whitewater streams, tumbles through the River of No Return Wilderness in central Idaho, dropping more than 3,000 feet over 105 miles. That ominous and poetic name for the wilderness notwithstanding, I keep coming back to this stunning waterway in the Sawtooth Range every five years or so to kayak it's 100-plus mellow-to-challenging rapids, soak in its stream-side thermal pools, hike trails that ascend into the hills above the river and enjoy the beauty of its canyon." - Brian Clark
