Idaho Outdoor Adventures

With stunning mountain vistas, pristine lakes, deep river gorges, thunderous whitewater, abounding wildlife and more designated wilderness than 48 other states, Idaho is an outdoor lovers dream! From hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, rafting, birding, backpacking and beyond, Idaho's rich and rugged landscape offers the perfect canvas for almost every kind of recreation. The 13th largest state in the US and home to just over 1.7 million people, 70% of Idaho is public land!  With dozens of mountain ranges and more whitewater miles than any other state in the United States, Idaho is the hidden jewel of the American West.

Rafting in Idaho

There are over 3000 miles of whitewater in Idaho, flowing from high peaks to low valleys through some of the most pristine lands in America. From the densely forested banks of the Salmon River to the high desert canyons of the Snake River, Idaho boasts some of the most thrilling whitewater adventures in the United States. The state encompasses large tracts of roadless wilderness where the only means of discovering landscapes is on foot, horseback or with a paddle in hand.

Come face-to-face with bighorn sheep, gaze on black bears and soaring eagles, discover the region’s rich Native American history, and soak in idyllic hot springs before camping beneath brilliantly starlit skies. At our riverside camps, you’ll be treated to delicious cuisine and camaraderie around the campfire during an adventure you’ll never forget.

Biking in Idaho

Whether you’re following the former railroad along the Route of the Hiawatha or cycling part of the Great American Rail-Trail, Idaho is home to some of the best biking trails in the country. Pedal at your own pace along quiet country roads, through vibrant urban landscapes, and unspoiled wilderness areas while discovering the history that has shaped the Gem State.

At ROW Adventures, we specalize in fully-guided biking tours. Cycling is an immersive way of experiencing the spectacular landscapes of the Northwest and meeting the people who call the region “home” in a way that connects you with your natural surroundings. Our cycling tours set the stage for your own discoveries and provide a means for embracing the world that lies before you.
