Different Ways to Ride Our World™
E-Bike Tours
Guided e-bike tours make cycling adventures accessible to a wide range of riders while keeping the experience active and immersive. Electric-assist bicycles make the hills more approachable, extend daily riding distances, and help groups ride together comfortably and confidently. We offer e-bike tours in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon, where scenic routes highlight some of the best cycling landscapes in the Pacific Northwest.
Ride along lakes and rivers, through forests, farmland, vineyards, and national parks while your guides share stories of local history, culture, and natural landscapes. Many of our e-bike tours feature dedicated bike paths, lodge-based accommodations, van support, and thoughtfully planned itineraries.
Rails to Trails Bike Tours
Many of our guided bike adventures take advantage of converted railroad routes now used for non-motorized recreation. These rails-to-trails bike tours typically feature gentle grades, smooth surfaces, and spectacular scenery.
In the Pacific Northwest, we’re fortunate to ride some of the best rail trails in the country, including Hall-of-Fame routes like the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and the legendary Route of the Hiawatha. These historic trails include tunnels, trestles, and sweeping views across rugged and remote landscapes.
Our lodge-based cycling tours are carefully crafted to highlight the most scenic riding while minimizing unnecessary driving. With knowledgeable local guides, hand-picked accommodations, and locally owned restaurants, these tours offer a rich immersion into the landscapes, history, and culture of the region.
International Bike Tours
Traveling by bike allows you to notice the fine details of a country, connect with local communities, and explore beyond the typical tourist routes. Our international bike tours embrace the philosophy of slow travel, where the journey is just as important as the destination. Imagine riding along picturesque coastlines, through countryside villages, or across cultural landscapes while breathing fresh air and experiencing each place more intimately.
In addition to scheduled itineraries, we can also arrange private or custom cycling tours, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace while still benefiting from ROW’s expertise and logistics.
Classic Guided Bicycle Tours
Traditional guided biking tours are perfect for riders who enjoy exploring using their own power while benefiting from expert planning and support. These tours combine scenic routes, cultural interpretation, comfortable accommodations, and all the benefits that come with small-group travel.
With van support available, flexible riding options, and thoughtfully designed routes, you can focus on the experience while we take care of the details.
What are rails-to-trails bike tours?
Rails-to-trails routes are former railroad corridors that have been converted into bike-friendly recreation trails. Because trains needed gradual grades, these trails are typically smooth, gently sloped, and ideal for comfortable cycling. Many also pass through beautiful landscapes such as forests, river valleys, lakeshores, and mountain passes.
On ROW’s rails-to-trails bike tours, you may ride historic routes featuring tunnels, trestles, and scenic viewpoints, often separated from vehicle traffic. These trails offer a relaxed and scenic way to experience a destination while enjoying a rewarding ride suitable for a wide range of cyclists.
Can I book a private or custom biking tour?
Yes! Many of our biking tours can be arranged as private departures for groups, families, or organizations. Contact our team and we’ll help craft an itinerary tailored to your interests, schedule, and riding style.
Where do your biking tours take place?
We offer guided biking tours across the Pacific Northwest, including Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Montana, as well as select international destinations. Many of our Northwest tours feature iconic rail trails, scenic river corridors, and quiet countryside routes, while our international trips focus on cultural immersion and meaningful local connections.
Do you provide bikes and equipment?
Yes. ROW biking tours include high-quality bicycles, helmets, and necessary riding gear. Select trips also offer premium electric-assist bikes, and in some cases you may bring your own bike if you prefer. Specific equipment details are listed on each individual trip page.
What types of biking tours does ROW offer?

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your accommodation with time to relax, explore the area, or enjoy optional short walks. Evenings often include group dinners and time to reflect on the day’s adventure.
