Abigail Duval
River Guide
Originally from Queensbury, New York, Abigail grew up exploring the woods of the Adirondacks. She spent time building forts, getting muddy, and on the water kayaking and canoeing. She holds a degree in Outdoor Education from SUNY Adirondack and a bachelor’s in Visual Arts Education from SUNY New Paltz, and brings a creative, hands-on approach to everything she does.
Abigail first got into whitewater while training on the Hudson River Gorge and has been hooked ever since. She loves learning about new landscapes and sharing that knowledge with guests, especially in places that feel so different from where she grew up. When she’s not on the river, you’ll find her working on some kind of art project, appreciating the small details of the natural world, and embracing the simple joy of being outside.
