Annual Guide Training Trip

Every spring, returning and new-to-ROW Guides gather for a staff training trip in Idaho! ROW leaders facilitate an in-depth and comprehensive skills and company philosophy training, setting the stage for the summer operating season. The extensive training covers boating skills, safety and risk management, the guest experience, cultural and natural history interpretation, and ROW history and philosophy, among many other topics. Underlying the week of training is the opportunity for connection among friends old and new. The family environment, coupled with the sheer fun and spontaneity of a group of river guides in the backcountry, make this a much anticipated and loved experience for all who participate!
