Guide since 2014: AZ, ID, OR, CA, WA, UT, Chile. Joined ROW in 2017. Hailing from Boston, Michael describes himself as a mediocre mandolin player, a decent whitewater kayaker and a decent bridge player. He's been kayaking for the last decade and loves working in the outdoors after being inspired as a kid during a five-day family canoe trip in the Boundary Waters. Michael holds a B.A. in Art, Mathematics and Physics and once explained system collapse in quantum measurement to a kayaking client (at their request). He currently spends his winters teaching math and and science at Alzar School in Cascade, Idaho.
