Having grown up in a rafting family in Montana, Anna was on the river by the age of 8 and started work as a guide at 19. Since then, she’s taken guests along rivers in Montana, Idaho, California, and Oregon, as well as in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado and Iceland. A stand out adventure? Exploring and hitchhiking around Iceland for two weeks after the river season. In describing the wilderness experience, she says that it “highlights true human nature” and enables her to connect with present minded people who appreciate, value and respect the power of the natural world. Not only does she hold a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Montana but she’s very intuitive (and sometimes even a little psychic). In addition to floating rivers, Anna has also been a wine cellar intern, snowmobile guide, an ESL teacher in Asia and a sugar beet truck driver. When she’s not on the river, you’ll find her soaking in hot springs, snowboarding over mountains, reading, writing and experiencing new adventures.
