ROW Adventures Celebrates 10 Years of Galapagos Unbound

Groundbreaking Trip Led the Way For a New Type of Adventure in the Enchanted Islands

Coeur d’Alene, ID… Ten years ago this month, ROW Adventures launched their groundbreaking and revolutionary trip to the Enchanted Islands – Galapagos Unbound. This tour, the only one in the world that allows travelers two nights of camping on the beaches inside of the Galapagos National Park, led the way for a more interactive type of Galapagos Islands tour that did not exist at the time.

ROW founder Peter Grubb first visited the Galapagos Islands in 1994 after leading a pioneering whitewater rafting trip on the Rio Upano in the Amazon Basin.

ROW Adventures Launches "Take Back Black Friday" Thanksgiving Campaign

November, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Campaign encourages people to #takebackblackfriday by skipping the Black Friday shopping frenzy, and, in turn, supporting a Peruvian rafting guide's dream.

Coeur d'Alene, ID... ROW Adventures announced Friday the launch of its Take Back Black Friday campaign, a movement to take back the Friday after Thanksgiving and spend it making memories, enjoying the outdoors, and being with loved ones. To encourage people to participate, ROW will outfit Edwar Pumacayo (from Peru) which will enable him to start his own rafting company.

Inspired by Edwar's story, REI's announcement and ROW Adventures' mission of "Sharing Nature ~ Enriching Lives" - founder Peter Grubb decided it is time to take a stand on the shopping madness that ensues on the Friday after Thanksgiving, even in the travel industry. Grubb's revelation came as he listened to ROW sales and marketing director Brad Moss tell a story about his recent trip in Peru, where he rafted down the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley (read the full revelation letter here: http://www.rowadventures.com/revelation-letter-our-loyal-guests-rowmers).

The Best In Family Adventures Just Got Better - ROW Introduces Family "Beer" Tasting Trip

April, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – A new and innovative spin on their Craft & Raft™ adventure, ROW Adventures' "Family" Craft & Raft™ trip marries the thrill of whitewater rafting on Oregon's Rogue River with exclusive beverage tasting for adults and kids alike. Adults sample a number of delicious craft beers from Oregon breweries, each paired with hors d'oeuvres that complement and enhance the flavors of the brew. Kids get to do just the same with specialty crafted root beer from regional breweries.

"Two things set our trip apart from the other craft beer trips in the area," explains Peter Grubb, founder of ROW Adventures, "First, we have Ginger Johnson, enthusiastic beer specialist and owner of Women Enjoy Beer, come along with beer, food pairings, and knowledge. Secondly, we've decided that these specialty trips should not only be fun if you are over twenty-one!"

The Pacific Northwest is the self-proclaimed king of micro-breweries and there are more than a dozen brands of root beer in the region as well. With variations in flavor distinctions, carbonation, and sweetness, each root beer brand (like beer) is unique.

Rafting Companies Join Forces "For the Cure" of Breast Cancer!

July, 2010
Around the nation, rafting companies are fighting breast cancer with Raft for the Cure events that support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

COEUR D'ALENE, ID, July 17, 2010 -- ROW Adventures, an Idaho-based adventure travel company, is hosting their third annual breast cancer awareness fund-raising event August 8th, 2010 on the Clark Fork River. The first two events have generated buzz and large donations for the Coeur d'Alene affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In Spokane, Washington, ROW Adventures also hosted their first Raft for the Cure on the Spokane River in June of this year, an event that sold out in just a few weeks.

"We've been so pleased with the local reception received for a unique event like this," said Peter Grubb, founder of ROW Adventures. "It's an opportunity to float a beautiful stretch of river with friends and family, knowing that half the trip price will help fight breast cancer in our local communities. Cancer has impacted the lives of so many, it's important we all do all we can to help. I'm so happy to support these events on both the Spokane and Clark Fork rivers and look forward to do so for years to come."

ROW Adventures first received the idea of this event from their friends on the other side of the states, Class VI, a whitewater rafting company in West Virginia that has hosted a Raft for the Cure the last 10 years on the New River Gorge. Their event will be held on August 21st.
