The brand new Hoanib (pronounced Hwa-Nib) Skeleton Coast Camp a gem amongst rugged, iconic, wildlife-filled terrain. Nestled in a valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River, the tranquility and stunning landscape is awe-inspiring. The camp is located in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld, between the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park in Namibia. It is only accessible by light aircraft, and the camp itself consists of seven tents with twin-sized beds and one family unit. Each tent features chic interior design and shaded outdoor decks. Bordered by rugged hills, the camp looks out over strikingly beautiful scenery. This, combined with the luxuries and amenities of the camp, make for an unforgettable safari vacation along the Skeleton Coast.

This extention trip is an amazing way to start a Namibian safari vacation as it puts you near major highlights of the country.  Our suggestion is that you turn this four day trip and customize it to a longer itinerary.  We are experts in Namibia safaris and are excited to create an adventure that fits your travel preferences.

Luxuri Camp Description:  This Classic camp consists of 8 stylish, well-insulated en-suite tents (7 twins and 1 family unit,) with free flow stretch canvas roofing and floating concrete foundations on stilts. Each unit comes with en suite bathroom and includes a private shaded outdoor lounge. The main area flows beautifully into the surrounding desert and looks out onto a small waterhole occasionally visited by oryx, elephants and other mammals. The main area comprises a lounge, bar area, dining room, library, fire pit and a deck where guests can cool off at the pool.

Crucially, its low-impact design is sensitive to the fragile desert environment, including being 100% solar (but backup generators there to support running the camp).  Located 1km south of the Hoanib Riverbed in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries (and wildlife conduits) of the Hoanib, the camp has views north towards the Hoanib and flanked east and west by rugged hills.
