Employment Status: This is a seasonal full-time, partial-salaried position.

Summary: Located in central Idaho on the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Clearwater River, the River Dance Lodge is looking for a resort manager and/or a couple comprising a manager and a restaurant cook. Our season runs from mid-April to mid-October and makes a perfect complement to the ski season. We have eight hand-crafted log cabins that accommodate a total of 40-50 people. Our restaurant is closed starting in 2020 but we are serving meals for lodge guests who have booked all inclusive packages and weddings. Guests visit the River Dance Lodge to raft, fish, hike, bike, ride horses and relax at a riverside retreat. All activities except horseback riding are led by ROW Adventures, the on-site rafting and adventure company. The lodge is situated in an outdoor paradise of wild rivers and close to the third largest Wilderness area in the United States. General Expectations of Managers: ROW Managers serve as role models for staff in a number of ways, including the following: demonstrating an attitude of safety; exhibiting a positive attitude and good work ethic; willingness to resolve conflicts whether between themselves and other employees or between staff who are having difficulties. They are expected to comply with all ROW policies and to inform the Director of Operations if they disagree or will have trouble enforcing one, prior to the season. Conflicts with employees, managers and company owners shall be handled in a direct manner, with a focus on finding solutions and preventing future problems. ROW expects its managers to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times that they are at a worksite, whether they are working or not. They are asked to be aware of the image they project to others, including ROW guests and the general public. Managers must exhibit the ability to accept criticism and openness to feedback. Finally, managers embrace ROW's commitment to excellence and are willing to continually work towards improving their knowledge and skills.
- Manage all Lodge staff, including cook, groundskeeper, housekeeper and activity guides
- Coordinate guest visits with main office
- Provide guests with excellent hospitality throughout stay
- Facilitate a positive working environment for entire staff
- Manage finances
- Maintain inventories
- Schedule staff
- Work closely with Lochsa River Manager during Lochsa Rafting season (mid May - early July) to coordinate guest stays and river trips.
- Provide additional guest service, housekeeping, and shuttle driving as necessary
- At least two years resort management experience (strongly preferred)

Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the ROW River Operations Manager or ROW Director of Operations.
