After being featured in New York Times for the award winning “Galapagos Unbound” journey, ROW Adventures welcomes a new Lodge to Lodge option to the islands for travelers on time restraints and budgets.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – In 2006, ROW Adventures was featured in New York Times for a revolutionary land-based program in the Galapagos Islands called “Galapagos Unbound.” Later this tour would win “Tour of a Lifetime” from National Geographic Traveler and today is still a guest favorite. Now in 2010, ROW Adventures is announcing a new lodge-to-lodge Galapagos Islands vacation that is better suited for travelers with time restraints or on a budget.

“In an ever changing world, some things remain the same. Not every itinerary is perfect for every traveler.” Explains Founder Peter Grubb, “At ROW, we are constantly searching for ways to fulfill the needs of today’s adventure traveler. While our “Galapagos Unbound” tour is truly one-of-a-kind and a fantastic way to vacation on the islands, it doesn’t work for everyone because of the fixed departure dates, length of stay or price point.”

For that reason ROW Adventures has introduced new lodge-to-lodge tour with daily departures and options to visit the Galapagos on a trip lasting from five to eight days with pricing that begins at $1480 per person. “Many people don’t realize that there are four small towns on the Galapagos Islands,” explains Grubb, “and like our Galapagos Unbound tour, this land-based tour, which provides authentic interaction with the locals, gives visitors a more complete understanding of the ecosystem of the Galapagos.” Depending on the length of trip chosen, visitors island hop between three or four islands including Santa Cruz, Isabella, San Cristobal and Floreana.

An iconic destination, travelers each year go to the Galapagos for unique wildlife viewing. Activities on the new tour include: snorkeling, swimming, wildlife viewing, kayaking, hiking and a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Each trip booked with ROW Adventures to the Galapagos Islands benefits IGTOA. The International Galapagos Tour Operators Association is a nonprofit association of travel companies, conservation organizations, and other groups that are dedicated to the complete and lasting protection of the Galapagos. Over the past four years, ROW Adventures has raised over $30,000 to help protect the Galapagos Islands.

“A big part in creating this new lodge-to-lodge program in the Galapagos was to make sure it was ecologically and socially responsible,” says Grubb, “The tour not only abides by our eco-standards, but it employs locals and uses local products, thus benefiting the local economy.”
