HEADLINE: In 1979, ROW Adventures started rafting Idaho Rivers with the idea of "sharing nature and enriching lives." This same idea has helped ROW Adventures grow to an award winning, International adventure travel company who was recently noted atop the National Geographic Adventure Magazine's "Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth".

COUER D'ALENE, Idaho – For the second consecutive year, National Geographic Adventure Magazine rated ROW Adventures as one of the "Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth." With the help of noteworthy organizations like Sustainable Travel International and the Adventure Travel Trade Association, National Geographic used five criteria to generate an overall rating: education, sustainability, quality of service, spirit of adventure and client satisfaction. Companies were then separated into six categories: Do-It-All, River & Sea, Biking, Hiking & Trekking, Safari, and Luxury.

In all, 248 adventure travel companies were scored and ROW Adventures ranked second on earth in the "River and Sea" category. Founder Peter Grubb states "I founded ROW Adventures 30 years ago in order to share my passion for rivers, travel and learning. Our mission of "Sharing Nature - Enriching Lives" remains our focus and it is gratifying to be recognized by National Geographic for our many years of providing high-quality adventures. Even more gratifying is knowing that we have positively impacted the lives of the thousands of people who have traveled with us, many of whom have become new advocates for the preservation of the places we visit. It is very satisfying to know that our business practices have had a positive influence in many ways including economically benefitting rural communities around the world, while also creating bonds and friendships that bridge borders and continents."

ROW Adventures remains committed to being a leader in responsible travel. In 2009 they are introducing a new trip to Brazil with an emphasis on wildlife viewing, paddling and hiking. In Idaho several new trips are planned including a whitewater culinary series. They remain active in their local community and will again operate the Coeur d'Alene Raft for the Cure to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
