Peter Metcalf Whitewater Rafting Guide

With a Masters in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, Peter is a very interesting person to talk to. Whether he is telling you the history of fires that burned through our river canyons, or relating some information about the migratory patterns of elk, he is a wealth of knowledge. Peter has a rich background in outdoor leadership that started at a Lutheran Summer camp ran by his mom. He has fond memories of the cannon ball contests he ran at the camp pool. Peter’s quest for the biggest splash brought him to ROW where he was looking for some of the biggest rivers in the West. In the off season Peter lives in Missoula, Montana as a freelance journalist, hunting in the local woods, cooking great meals, and obsessively watching baseball!
