An accomplished mountain climber who has climbed all the major peaks of Ecuador, Juan invited ROW to Ecuador in 1991 to make the first descent on the Rio Upano. This led to the creation of Travel Ecuador, our Ecuadorian branch, that now offers a wide variety of adventures including whitewater rafting, sea kayaking in the Galapagos, multi-sport trips and walking trips in the highlands that stay in 18th century Spanish haciendas. Juan leads with an easy-going and efficient manner that, coupled with his extensive knowledge of Ecuador, makes him very appreciated by ROW guests.
