Joey Parent Whitewater Rafting Guide

Born 1982 in Fredericksburg, VA. Guide since 2001. WV, NC, TN, VA, ID, MT, WA, Norway. With ROW since 2009

After receiving his undergraduate degree in photography, Joey realized that his calling was outdoor recreation so went on to pursue a Master in Recreation Administration from the University of Tennessee. Joey’s passion for the outdoors started at a young age and he remembers paddling the Nantahala River with his parents. Joey’s love of the outdoors has led him to guide not only in the east and the west, but also in Norway, where he spent two seasons. In his years of travel Joey has learned not only to guide rafts, but is also an accomplished kayaker, and C1 boater. Joey’s educational background has also been the perfect preparation for helping us as an instructor in our own whitewater guide school.
