GL Britton Fly Fishing Guide

GL was born in Spokane, WA, and spent most of his summers as a young man fishing on the rivers of north Idaho and eastern Washington. After leaving home and attending the University of Idaho, GL toured the western states with several of his fishing mentors. He was one of the first fishermen in north Idaho to pioneer the technique of spey casting for Steelhead on the Clearwater and Grande Ronde Rivers. He opened his own fly shop in Washington in 1990. From the late 1990s through December of 2008, GL managed the guiding operations in Washington for an Orvis endorsed fly fishing store. In addition to guiding for ROW Adventures, he teaches multi-day spey casting clinics on the Snake River each winter. GL and his family live just north of Spokane. Being a fishing guide is a natural extension of what GL loves and is reflected in the level of service and effort that he provides his guests.
