Andrea started guiding in Colorado while working on a degree in Environmental Studies at CU Boulder. After finishing her degree (with a few extended breaks to study in Brazil and ski bum in Jackson Hole) she worked at an international environmental nonprofit for a few years before the call of the river once again got too loud to ignore. She came to ROW and quickly fell in love with the adventurous multi-day trips that are so unique to Idaho's long, wilderness rivers. Andrea loves the variety of edible and medicinal plants that inhabit Idaho river corridors, and if you aren't careful she might make you sample her latest prickly pear stir fry experiment or yarrow tea concoction. When she's not on the river, you'll likely find Andrea hanging with her family in Colorado, tromping around the deserts of Utah with her dog, or brushing up on Spanish for that next trip to Latin America.
