Our walking trip to Machu Picchu is your chance to get to know the descendants of Incan brothers Huascar and Atahualpa Capac, whose bitter rivalry allowed Conquistador Franciso Pizarro to attack and destroy the Incas of the 1500’s. Today you can explore their majestic hilltop fortresses and marvel at what their civilization might have been like. ROW’s journey takes you to the Inca capital of Cusco, the magical Sacred Valley of the Urubamba River, the living ruin of Ollantaytambo, the market town of Pisac, astounding Machu Picchu and much more.

This Peru adventure can be added before or after any of ROW's Ecuador trips, or as a stand-alone Peru walking tour. If combined with our Galapagos Sea Kayak Adventure, you can either continue from Quito to Lima the same day we return from the Galapagos, or spend the night in Quito and proceed to Lima the next afternoon (recommended).
