Overview
This Peru adventure tour can be added before or after any of our Ecuador or Galapagos Islands trips, or as a stand-alone Peru hiking and walking tour. If combined with our Galapagos Islands Cruises or Galapagos Islands Adventure Tours , you can either continue from Quito to Lima the same day we return from the Galapagos, or spend the night in Quito and proceed to Lima the next afternoon (recommended).
Our hiking and walking tour to Machu Picchu is your chance to get to know the descendants of Incan brothers Huascar and Atahualpa Capac, whose bitter rivalry allowed Conquistador Franciso Pizarro to attack and destroy the Incas of the 1500's. Today you can explore their majestic hilltop fortresses and marvel at what their civilization might have been like.
