 Born 1981 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Guide Since 2001: ID, OR With ROW since 2006
Idaho is in Jess' blood, as a born-and-bred native who grew up in the heart of Idaho, at her family ranch on the Salmon near Challis and the family farm in Dietrich. During the busy summer she somehow manages to squeeze a trip home between river trips to help on the family ranch, fixing fence or birthing cows. A couple days later she's back on the Salmon River running rapids! Jess went to Oregon State on a Basketball scholarship and earned a degree in Resource Recreation & Tourism. One of her favorite memories from the river was having her boat surrounded by a family of river otters. Steady, competent and engaging are all characteristics Jess brings to the guests on our trips.
